We Change The Way You Feel About The Dentist!
Dr. Andrew Killgore was born in Manhattan, Kansas, and raised in Hutchinson, Kansas.
He attended the University of Kansas for two years before transferring to Vanderbilt
University in Nashville, Tennessee and receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in
Philosophy. He worked as an Outward Bound mountaineering instructor in Montana and
then in dental equipment sales prior to entering the University of Louisville School
of Dentistry and receiving his DMD degree in 2005, while there he excelled in academics,
received awards for his research in cleft lip/palate birth defects and received several
implant awards. Dr. Killgore then moved to Colorado Springs and opened the first of his
two dental practices in Colorado.
In Colorado, his son Noah was born with Down Syndrome, so Cara and Andrew chose to
relocate closer to family and to recruit exceptional dentists who pursue a similar
dream of doing dentistry in 3rd world missions (a passion of Dr. Killgore).
Dr. Killgore is a member of the American Dental Association, the Association of
General Dentists, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the American Academy
of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Andrew and his wife Cara are the proud parents of Drew and Noah and have a new baby
on the way.
Dr. Aaron Shaftel was born and raised in Montgomery, Ohio, a suburb of
Cincinnati. He attended The Ohio State University, earning his Bachelor of Science
degree in Biology. After graduating, Dr. Shaftel was accepted into the The Ohio State
College of Dentistry where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Shaftel
chose to pursue a post-graduate residency program and was accepted into the highly
respected University Hospital AEGD Residency the following year.
Dr. Shaftel has been in private practice before joining Afinia Dental in early 2009.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, The Ohio Dental Association, The
Cincinnati Dental Society, and is pursuing his Diplomate Status in the American
Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Shaftel lives with his wife, Jenn, and his dog Chewy in Loveland. He enjoys
spending his free time with family and friends, volunteering in the community, and
coaching the Sycamore High School Men’s Varsity Lacrosse team.
